Restaurant COIN TEST

The COIN TEST is a 30 item timed test that measures the ability to handle money accurately under time pressure in full-service, cafeteria-style, and fast food restaurants. More than a simple arithmetic or counting test, it asks questions about transactions in which cashiers, and others who must handle money as part of their jobs, will be involved every day. Even when they have equipment that tells how much change to give a customer, cashiers must be able to remove the correct combination of coins and currency from the cash drawer quickly and count it back to the customer correctly.

BENEFITS OF THE Restaurant COIN TEST:

  • Improves the quality of newly-hired cashiers by measuring their ability to perform a centrally important job duty.
  • Training for new-hires can be customized (speeded up or slowed down) depending on COIN TEST results
  • Standardizes hiring and promotion decisions by providing job-relevant, objective, validated measurement of central job skill.
  • Easy to administer -- it takes just 13 minutes, and is available in WEB-administered format or paper booklet with WEB scoring.
  • Available in English and Spanish.
  • Immediate results provided by email and at your confidential database at our web site.
